Bold Concert Review

Editorial policy

Bold Concert Review aims to make careful, readable criticism of concert choices and live performance. We separate what a piece states as fact from what it offers as interpretation, and correct the record when we get something wrong.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual details against the material available for each piece and write in a way that makes uncertainty visible. An interpretation is not presented as a fact, and a personal response is not treated as universal. We do not invent attendance, access, conversations or first-hand experience.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for their relevance to readers and the subject, not to promise favourable coverage. A collaboration or paid placement does not determine an editorial conclusion. Where a relationship could matter to a reader’s understanding, we identify it clearly.

Corrections

If you spot an error, contact us with the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests, amend confirmed mistakes and make significant corrections clear to readers. We do not quietly retain a factual error for the sake of a published argument.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid placements and other partner material are labelled so readers can distinguish them from editorial work. Illustrations may be AI-generated; when that is relevant to interpreting an image, we identify it. An illustration is not evidence that a concert or event took place.

Our point of view

A concert is more than its biggest moment

The order, the spaces between pieces and the way performers shape a work all matter. We look closely at those choices without treating one kind of concert as the measure of all the rest.
